The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.
Sacrament Preparation for 1st Communion & 1st Penance
Due to Covid-19, this year we will run the preparation for the Sacraments differently.
We are planning to start our Religious Education for children who are ready for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion in the month of January 2021.
- You must come to the office Wednesday through Friday between 10:30am and 1pm to fill out the registration form. (If we don't have a copy of your child's baptism certificate on file, you must bring one)
- We'll give you a book and a booklet of prayers to study and complete at home.
- You'll have to attend Mass every Sunday and pick up a weekly lesson after Mass. You will return this lesson the following Sunday as proof of attendance.
- When your child completes his/her book and memorizes the basic prayers in a period of 6 months, the reception of the Sacrament can be planned and put on the Parish calendar
- The fee for Religius Education for the 2021 year is $100 per family. (No child will be turned away due to inability to pay)

Programa de Educación Religiosa para Primera Reconciliación y Primera Comunión
Debido al Covid 19, este año realizaremos la preparación de los Sacramentos de manera diferente.
Estamos planeando comenzar nuestra Educación Religiosa para los niños que estén listos para los Sacramentos de Reconciliación y Primera Comunión en el mes de Enero, 2021.
- Deben presentarse a la oficina de lunes a viernes entre las 10:30am y 1pm. para llenar la forma de inscripción. (Si no tenemos una copia del certificado de bautismo de sus niños en nuestros archivos, deben traerlo a la oficina).
- Les daremos un libro para completarlo en casa y un librito de oraciones.
- Tendrán que asistir a Misa todos los domingos y recoger una lección semanal después de Misa, esta deberá ser devuelta el domingo siguiente y contará como prueba de asistencia.
- Si el(la) niño(a) completa su libro y se memoriza las oraciones básicas en un periodo de 6 meses, la recepción del Sacramento podrá ser planeada.
La cuota por el Programa de Educación Religiosa es de $100.00 por familia. (Ningún niño(a) será rechazado(a) por no poder pagar).

Barb began the visits a few years ago, when her children were young and she wanted them to understand that Advent and Christmas are about more than receiving gifts. She contacted her parish and asked if there was someone who might need a little extra attention and care during this season. As a result, her family cooked special meals, brought homemade gifts and, most importantly, spent time with Edward, a homebound man who savored their time together. What started as a December activity turned into a year-round relationship, and Barb’s family has remained close to Edward. He relishes the time they spend together, telling Barb’s children stories of his younger years, and listening to the youngsters’ tales of school friends, activities and adventures. On one visit, a ritual was born. After their initial greeting and catching up, Edward, Barb and her children each share something for which they are thankful: simple things that help them know God’s love and that have touched them since the last time they were together. Barb’s children have begun preparing their “thank-yous” in advance, anxious to share with Edward the most special parts of their lives. For his part, Edward says being mindful of things for which he is grateful helps him focus on his blessings. He no longer lingers so much in the frustration and loneliness of life. Last month, as they visited and shared their special moments of gratitude, Edward shared something that touches Barb still. He said: “When you come to visit me, you carry with you so much more than food or a gift. The seventy-two have returned from their mission exuberant and in awe of the power given to them. Jesus turns to his Father with gratitude for the gifts that have been given to his “little ones.” They can understand what many before, considered wise and powerful, could neither see nor hear.
